A Gentle Start to 2026: Mindfulness, Meditation and Nervous System Support in Glen Iris

The beginning of this year has felt slower, steadier, and more intentional.

Over the break, it was wonderful to step away from the usual pace of work and spend meaningful time with family. Slower mornings and simple moments together created space to reset and reflect. Now, as children return to school and routines begin to settle, I am gently stepping back into sessions at State of Harmony with a renewed sense of purpose.

This year, my focus continues to be supporting people in Glen Iris and surrounding Melbourne suburbs with nervous system regulation, mindfulness, meditation, and gentle mindful movement. These practices help reduce stress, improve emotional balance, and create a deeper sense of inner calm in everyday life.

But the energy for 2026 feels different.

Not about doing more.
Not about pushing harder.
Not about proving anything.

The Kind of Growth We’re Choosing This Year

2026 is not asking me to do more.
It is inviting me to be with myself differently.
To come home to my own body, heart, and inner truth.
To listen more closely to what I am feeling, instead of pushing past it.
To meet myself with compassion instead of criticism, especially on the days I feel tired, unsure, or not enough.
To let go of perfectionism and honour what is real, messy, and human.
To rest when I need to, without guilt.
To notice my thoughts, emotions, and patterns with gentle awareness, rather than judgement.

This is the kind of growth that feels like exhaling. Not forcing. Not proving. Just slowly softening back into myself. Quiet. Honest. Sustainable.

If any of this resonates, you are not alone. Many people are craving this kind of inner spaciousness, self-compassion, and emotional steadiness.

Moving Into 2026 With Intention

Rather than rushing into big resolutions, the focus this year is on meaningful intentions that shape how we feel as we move through our days.

Nervous system regulation in daily life

So many people are living in a constant state of stress and “go mode.” Through meditation classes, sound healing, and gentle mindful movement in Glen Iris, my intention is to keep offering spaces where the body can soften, breathing can deepen, and the nervous system can remember what it feels like to settle.

Deep self-connection through mindfulness

When life gets busy, we can lose touch with ourselves. Mindfulness and meditation practices help bring awareness back to the body, breath, and present moment. This supports emotional regulation, clarity, and a stronger connection to your own inner wisdom.

Cultivating peace and harmony from within

Peace is not just an idea. It is something we practise in small moments of presence. Learning to pause, notice sensations, and sit with experience gently can ripple outward into families, workplaces, and communities.

Growing a heart-centred wellbeing community

This year is also about continuing to grow a supportive meditation and mindful movement community in Melbourne. Spaces where people feel welcome, safe, and able to simply be themselves without pressure to perform.

A Beautiful Start With Sacred Sunday

We have already shared our first Sacred Sunday meditation and sound healing session for the year, and it was a full and deeply nourishing morning. The space felt calm, grounded, and connected as everyone allowed themselves to slow down and reset their nervous systems.

I am very much looking forward to gathering again for the next Sacred Sunday in March for another gentle morning of mindful movement, meditation, and sound bowls in Glen Iris.
